Support for Jer

Share this Fundraiser:

Jeremy was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia in December 2016. Treatments and upcoming bone marrow transplant prevent him from working.

Jeremy was admitted to the hospital for chemo and infection protection in December 2016. He survived 3 rounds of chemo, 3 surgeries and 2 intense infections. His cancer is in remission but he stands a high risk of relapse and he is awaiting a bone marrow transplant that is his hope for a cure. His passion and drive in life are his four kids who are under the age of 10. Divorce rocked their world in 2015. He is trying to provide and maintain the home the kids have roots and security in. Their home is also close to the church and school they attend. Jer has always worked to provide financial security for his family and strives to get through this back to independence. The power of prayers has gotten him through day by day as well as financial assistance from amazing sources. Looking for both to keep him going so he has a home base to heal and go forward.

June 26, 2017 - Recovery and healing

Bone transplant completed 5/31/17 and went well. Day 26 post transplant aiming for day 100. Staying at Kathy’s House in Milwaukee, an amazing place for healing ,respite and amazing people sharing similar situations. It’s 5 minutes from the hospital. Mouth sores and sore throat followed by inability to taste was the second biggest issue so far that he has overcome. "Food is Medicine" is the mantra. Hardest to deal with for him is not seeing the kids.

April 19, 2017 - A match has been found!

Thankful that Jer comes from solid German heritage. A donor has been found in Germany. Procedure should be in 4-5 weeks.

April 15, 2017 - 4/15/17 Going forth with Faith

Jeremy remains in remission. Back on chemo injections. He will find out next week when he will be scheduled for bone marrow transplant. His white count is critically low. Asking for prayers to keep any infection at bay.
